Market commentary
Bullish sentiment dominated markets globally in November as investors generally welcomed the outcome of
the US Election and several of Trump’s early cabinet picks. Further evidence of the United States' economic
strength also helped fuel the rally.
Influenced largely by these offshore factors, Australian shares posted strong gains (up +3.8%) and hit a new
high. Argo’s monthly per share net tangible assets (NTA) also reached a record high, increasing +4.0% to
$10.27 per share.
A key contributor to Argo’s positive performance was our holding in Technology One. During the month, the
enterprise software company reported a +15% increase in net profit, exceeding its earlier guidance. Its share
price jumped more than +10% following the announcement.
